CITIES & NEARBY TOWNS

La Serena:

La Serena is a commune and city of Norte Chico de Chile, capital of the Coquimbo Region. It is one of the most important tourist destinations in the country. Its historical center stands out with a preserved neocolonial architecture characterized by its balconies, small squares and centuries-old stone churches and its extensive beaches.

Gualliguiaca:

It is a town recently eradicated due to the construction of the Puclaro Reservoir. It is therefore the first town in this valley founded in the 21st century, accessed by route 41 from La Serena to Vicuña, at the height of the town of San Carlos, crossing the Elqui River and bordering the waters of Puclaro.

Vicuña:

The city is known as the capital of Elqui Valley and chilean pisco, besides being the birthplace of the chilean poet Gabriela Mistral, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1945 and where she received her first years of education.

Vicuña is internationally known as one of the best places for astronomical observation, so it has astronomical observatories for scientific and public use such as the Mamalluca observatory and the Tololo observatory. Today it is positioned as the world capital of Astronomy.

Pisco Elqui:

It is a small town settled on a hill. It retains its ancient architecture which can be seen in its mansions and the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary. It is known for being a mystical zone and for possessing one of the clearest skies in the world to observe the stars.

AT THE FESTIVAL

Once you arrive at the gathering, take a moment to breathe, relax and enter the vibe.

The entrance and registration process is designed to be as expeditious and comfortable as possible, given the conditions that the place allows. You’ll receive a booklet with the map and all the information needed. It is suggested that you previously read and hopefully memorize the map with the different places and services.

Find the camping area that corresponds to your entrance, follow the signs or ask information if you have any questions. Explore the places and watch out for the encounters you may have.

Ask yourself what your objectives are participating in this gathering, align with them and maybe open up to expand them. Include the celebration, having fun can be a great gateway to something better. Open your mind, your heart and your senses and share them. Take care of yourself and take care of others.

In a gathering like this it is vital to treat each other with respect and helping or collaborating with whoever you feel needs it. If you see any need; someone who is cold, needs light, does not find something or is troubled, give them a smile and help them if you can.

One of the reasons we love these gatherings is because of the possibility of feeling a great family; be part of it, remember that each small act allows you to cocreate it.

Prepare to play

Andes Eclipses can be the perfect instance where the game is mixed with consciousness to create a collective high-vibration play space where we connect in a surprising way.

Personal welfare

It is advisable to hydrate regularly and be prepared for changes in temperature. The Elqui Valley has a high percentage of sunny days in any season of the year, where since sunrise the temperatures are usually high enough to wear light clothing. However, the appearance of wind or the rare presence of polar waves could change the situation. In July, sunset occurs around 6:00 pm, as the sun disappears from sight, temperatures drop abruptly, requiring winter clothing. The use of layers of clothing is suggested to accommodate changes in climate.

Information and signage

Visit the location of our information booth. During the day we will have people who can answer your questions and collect your concerns to help you with the best we have. Remember that those who attending you, are doing a job that relates to many people, therefore, we invite you to be gentle and cordial in all kinds of situations.

Also, read the program and all the information we publish on our website and social media in advance.

The information and changes that may arise will be published in this place and changes in the program and content will be disseminated in the corresponding scenarios and / or transmitted by the person making the presentation.

Messages and meeting point

Near Information, a place of open messages for the community and a predetermined meeting point will be located.

Fire

Fire is sacred. It is an element that has allowed our evolution for millions of years, so it deserves our respect. It is strictly forbidden for any assistant to light or handle a fire or fire.

It is forbidden to bring and / or use any pyrotechnic equipment in the field of the meeting.

Cooking and Food

If you want to cook, use the community kitchen specially designed for it.

Experience the various food suppliers who will put their beautiful energy to feed us. You will have delicious food stalls that will provide vegan, vegetarian and omnivorous food alternatives at friendly prices.

Dogs and Pets

Please, avoid bringing your pet for reasons of its own safety and coexistence with the rest of the people. The mountain is an extended place where it can be easy for your pet to get lost.

Particular sound systems, Instruments

It is not allowed to bring or operate particular or personal sound systems. The organization, musicians and artists have carefully prepared musical environments at different times and locations, go to them. In case you want to perform your art, check the program and the various instances to share it. There will be frequent ceremonies where your performances -with group conscience- will be very welcome. In places of camping, chill-out or in places of open nature, be respectful and sensitive with your words or the noise that could be causing your presence, particularly during resting hours or when others are performing activities silently.

Recordings, recording of images and sound

Although, we will have the presence of professional photographers and filmmakers, it is allowed the recording of videos and sound material exclusively for personal use and unpaid dissemination of activities within the gathering, provided that those who perform them have the authorization of all those who are included in these recordings.

Likewise, respect for silence, presence, space and clear visibility by those who make records are strongly requested.

Please do not circulate around the scenes or interrupting the vision of the attendants. Especially in ceremonial events, as well as spontaneous activities that participants and artists could perform. Remember that the look, the eye, affects and intervenes in what it focuses on.

The priority is who makes the experience, not who registers it.

In moments of the Eclipse the above is especially important. Remember that most people have made their personal long journey to get to that special moment, that subtle respect is the main base of communication and cohabitation between us.
